Kind-hearted IT store employees buy Nintendo Wii for boy who came into shop every day to play it on demo mode

Kind-hearted IT store employees clubbed together to buy a Nintendo WiiU console for a teenage boy who came into their shop every day to play on the demo mode.

But since the clip of the good deed has been posted online, the employees have received a torrent of abuse from viewers.

The boy, who is not named in the video, is seen sitting at the console that had been set up in store.

The manager of Best Buy , Rahiem Storr, said that the teenager came in to the store in Valley Stream, New York, every day to play games on the display model.

He told CNN that employees Kenneth Fernandez and Pal Ndoja both used their own money to buy a console for the boy, so he would be able to play video games at home.

The Nintendo WiiU is currently priced at $300 (£237) on the Best Buy website.

In the clip, an employee tells the boy: “On behalf of us here at Best Buy, we got you a WiiU. This is something we did for you. Everyone here that you see, we all got together and chipped in so you could have it.”

At first the youngster is speechless – and almost disbelieving – until the employee says: “No, for real, this is for you. Consider it an early Christmas present.”

The boy was also gifted with a copy of the game Super Smash Bros – the same one he had been playing in the store.

But since the clip was posted, Storr reveals that the footage has received abuse from viewers.

One troll cruelly wrote: “Meanwhile the kid gets abused at home and they don’t even have a TV LOL.”

Another added: “Now he’s at the car dealership doing test drives all day.”

Angered by the comments, Storr posted a second video in response to the cruel trolls.

He then added a comment, writing: “I am actually a manager at Best Buy, update to the story is that he actually has two very loving parents at home.

“I have not been responding to the comments because some are just so hurtful. After purchasing the WiiU for him they actually drove him home where his parents were beyond welcoming.

“Thank you to everyone for offering up these donations. Whilst people have some horrible opinions about Best Buy associates I can not begin to express how wrong they actually are.

“I posted this to show otherwise, can’t tell you how often I give people discounts or children that save money to buy items and come up a few dollars short.

“We are here to complete people’s lives not take away from it. Been with the company for 10 years now and what our store did is why I continue to stay.

“The trolls I see on here make it hard sometimes as I deal with them in the store on a daily basis however it is what I signed up for and we all work through it. Thank you again everyone.

“Continue to shop at Best Buy and keep us all employed so that we can continue to do things like this for people day in and out. Up vote that.

“I know the trolls will eat this comment up and probably say some racist things like I saw on my YouTube however let me say this here it does not bother me one bit. I love everyone even the trolls hope that upsets you even more.”
