Five-year-old reacts in sweetest way to being told that his older brother is gay

An up-and-coming YouTube star has come out as gay to his five-year-old brother – and recorded their conversation for everyone to watch back.

People are already saying this is the best video they have seen all year after watching how the news was broken – and taken.

The nervous older brother Oliver Potter begins the chat by talking about love, but it is little Alfie who takes the lead.

Oliver, a vlogger, asked: “How do you think about love?

Young Alfie replied: “If you’re a mum and you want to be in love with a dad, you get in love with them.”

So Oliver tried: “So how would it make you feel if I married a man?”

Straight away Alfie added: “If you marry a man it’s going to be so cool.

“I saw in one movie a man was in love with another man and everyone was saying cool, cool.”

The cute siblings end their video with a cute ad-libbed song.

Oliver hopes his discussion with Alfie will “show people that no one is too young to understand that love is love”.

He added he hoped “it gives people courage to open up the conversation with their friends, siblings, children or whoever they choose”.

“Since Alfie has known I’m gay he has been as loving as always,” he added.

“He has even been to school and told his friends that his brother would marry a man.

“They all took it well and think it’s pretty cool which made me smile.”
